Do I Have "Hard Water"
The water pumped from Aquifers around Arizona are considered hard water. Hard water is not dangerous, and has no negative health effects. This does create, limescale and white residue seen on wet surfaces as they dry. Calcium and manganese, can be removed within an in home water softener. This is not required however some people prefer softer water. If you choose not to install a water softener, fixtures can be cleaned with over-the-counter products to minimalize the results of water hardness.

What Do I Need To Do Before I Dig On My Property?
Before you dig on your property you should always call 811 to locate underground utilities before doing any type of construction activity. The utility company will "locate" and mark the lines temporarily. Note markings will disappear after some time. For more information, visit Arizona 811.
Performing A Leak Test
1. Turn off all indoor and outdoor appliances that use water.
*Do not turn on any water during the test.
2. You will need to carefully look at the current meter reading. Write this number down, this reading is similar to the way you read a cars odometer.
3. Wait 30 minutes.
4. After 30 minutes, go back and take another reading.
5. Subtract the second reading from your first reading.
6. If the difference is greater then 0 you have a leak.
